Have a Web Presence

Have a web presence—even for a very small Jam, you will probably want to have a web site to recruit people for your Jam—help them sign up, inform participants and other interested people, and build your local Jam community. You could use these pre–made graphics, if you like! (part 1, part 2). They are made by Adrian Paulsen, and thanks to Adrian, Jammers can use them for Jam materials free of charge!

If you are not a web expert, there are several easy ways to a web site. Some of these can be set up in five minutes:

  • an Eventbrite page, perhaps the easiest option—this will even handle your ticketing, registering participants—if you need that …
  • Facebook page (which could be a group/community page, or just an event page …
  • an online blog, which could be from a free provider like Blogger, WordPress, …
